- Apply for a Master’s course in the Application Portal between January 2 and February 1, 2023
- Show that you meet the academic requirements
- Show a strong academic record
- Show the required English level
- Show how your academic and/or professional background is relevant to the course you apply for in your statement of purpose (see course descriptions for more information)
Note: Students from USA/ Canada have different scholarship opportunities.
They cannot apply for scholarships through Norway.

Other scholarships for US and Canadian students
There are some scholarships available for US and Canadian citizens from other organizations and institutions.
Who cannot apply for a scholarship:
- Bachelor’s course applicants
- Norwegian language course applicants
- Previous recipients of an ISS scholarship
- In general, applicants who live in the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland) cannot apply for a scholarship; some exceptions may apply.
Who can apply for a scholarship?
Applicants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree and who can show the required English level.
If this is you, apply as a Scholarship applicant in the Application Portal between January 2 and February 1.
In the Application Portal, you need to upload a Letter of Recommendation and a Statement of Purpose along with all other required documents.
Please prepare these documents before you apply.
What does the ISS Scholarship cover?
Basic Fee
The Basic Fee includes course participation, health insurance, and extracurricular activities.
The On-Campus Basic Fee also includes food and simple accommodation in a shared room and a one-weekend excursion.
The Off-Campus Basic Fee does not include the weekend excursion; off-campus participants can join the weekend excursion for an extra fee.
The scholarship covers at least the course fee.
Oslo transportation card
If you get a scholarship, the ISS Office will order and give you an Oslo transportation card for the duration of the program (43 days).
You will receive the transportation card after you arrive.
NOTE: The ISS will not refund you if you buy and pay for your own Oslo transportation card. The ISS will not replace lost cards
Nor part Scholarship (NORPART) for Norway :
It is possible to grant 5,000,000 kroner per person. This scholarship is for studying in the field of medicine and mostly for senior and doctoral students _ Wales Mountain Foundation (WMF) through its Empowerment through Education (ETE)
The latest programs to immigrate to Norway
